Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon has wished South Korea's business circles a prosperous 2019 and vowed his full support for their efforts.
At a New Year's event on Thursday, the PM noted how the nation has reached the 30-thousand U.S. dollar mark in per capita income, making South Korea the seventh country to achieve such feat last year.
Lee praised business representatives for enduring recent uncertainties, such as the U.S.-China trade spat.
The PM also vowed to take measures to encourage investment, support new industries to prosper, and continue deregulation efforts.
