We'll get to the latest developments regarding North Korea-U.S. diplomacy shortly,... but first an update from South Korea's stock market.
The benchmark KOSPI fell below the psychologically-important two-thousand mark for the first time in two months during early morning trading.
The KOSPI slipped to 1,999 at around 10 AM on selling by institutions and foreign investors, but quickly bounced back to the two-thousand level as foreign investors turned to net buying.
As of 30 minutes ago, it stood at 2,013.
The KOSPI closed at 2,010 on Wednesday, down one-and-a-half percent from the previous close, on concerns about a slowing Chinese economy.
The tech heavy KOSDAQ is literally unchanged from Wednesday's close at around 670.
