Good morning, most of Korea has been in the grips of toxic smog for nearly a week now...except Gangwon-do Province,... most of us are waking up to a thick coat of dust. Have your face masks ready to protect your lungs.
Meanwhile, winter will continue its hiatus into the weekend, temperatures will stay nice for mid-December, but you will need to keep a face mask if you are planning to attend any of winter festivals that are kicking off this weekend. Air quality will improve next week with a big chill on the way.
This morning is a mild one again, 1 degree in Seoul, Jeju should enjoy warm and clean air today.
Daily highs will be similar to marginally higher than yesterday, getting up to 9 degrees in Seoul, 17 degrees in Gwangju.
