Obamacare ruled unconstitutional by Texas judge

In the U.S. state of Texas, a judge has ruled that the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, is unconstitutional in its current form.
The decision could cause disruptions to healthcare for millions of Americans.
The lawsuit was brought by several states, including Texas, which argued that because Congress got rid of the tax penalty for not having insurance -- the so-called individual mandate -- the tax power of Congress can no longer be used to justify the law.
It was that tax penalty that the Supreme Court relied on in 2012 when Obamacare was upheld.
U.S. President Donald Trump, who has promised to end Obamacare, tweeted that it was a great day for America.
The state of California and other groups have indicated they plan to appeal.
