Bitter cold blast to sweep across country _ 120718

Good afternoon. I am Lee Jee-hyun with the latest weather update... reporting from Seoul's Gangnam Station. It's lunch time but the temperature still remains below freezing here in Seoul... I hope you have your thickest winter jackets on... as the sunshine is not doing much to give us any relief from the chilly weather.
Cold wave advisories have been re-issued in many central regions... morning lows in most parts this morning dropped below minus 10 degrees Celsius...and a biting wind chill will make it feel a lot colder than the actual temperatures.
Meanwhile, today is Daeseol, meaning 'a lot of snow' in the traditional calendar. Chungcheong-do and Jeolla-do Provinces and Jeju Island will see snow until Saturday. The west coast of Jeollabuk-do Province will see heavy snow, with up to 10 centimeters by Sunday, so be extra careful there.
The rest of country will be under mostly sunny skies.
Beijing is also dealing with bone chilling temperatures, while Tokyo is enjoying mild weather... now let's take a closer look at Korea's daily highs...
Expect to have sub-zero temperatures all day, Seoul at minus 4 degrees... even lower than yesterday's morning lows... Busan and Jeju will also notice a big drop in temperatures today so stay warm.
But brace yourself, we have even colder weather on the way this weekend. Lows will plunge to minus 11 degrees Celsius here in Seoul, at least it will be Saturday tomorrow so most of us can sleep in. Next week, the temperatures will rebound to the positive side.
