Talks between South Korea, China and Japan on a three-way free trade deal are set to open for the first time in eight months.
Starting Thursday, the three countries will hold their 14th round of FTA negotiations in Beijing.
The Northeast Asian nations are members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership,… a massive trade deal involving 16 Asian countries.
Seoul's deputy minister for trade negotiations says South Korea will call for a higher-level FTA deal than the RCEP, with lower barriers in the goods, services and investment sector.
