South Korea and the U.S. held a meeting in Washington for the follow-up measures on Seoul's exemption from America's sanctions on Iran.
Seoul's foreign affairs ministry said the two sides discussed matters related to trade transactions such as finance, shipping, and insurance.
This comes after the nation requested Washington provide a clearer guideline on technical issues as there remain some uncertainties on whether particular transactions with Tehran should be subject to sanctions.
South Korea and 7 other jurisdictions have been exempted from the Trump administration's fresh sanctions targeting Iran's oil, finance and energy sectors, after the U.S. withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran early this year.
