Recent waiver on North Korea sanctions applies only to on-ground survey: UN

The United Nations says.... the recent sanctions waiver on North Korea by the UN Security Council applies only to the (QUOTE-UNQUOTE) "survey mission."
This is according to Voice of America Wednesday... citing an official related to the UN Security Council,... who wished to remain anonymous.
VOA reported... that the sanctions waiver is limited to on-site inspections only... and does not apply to the overall railway connection project.
The official added... additional sanctions waivers are needed,... if the two Koreas want to move restricted items into the North.
Seoul is hoping to start on-ground railway inspections in North Korea later this week... and has proposed the dates to Pyeongyang..., but hasn't received a response yet.
