NOTA this time, say these Madhya Pradesh villages. Here's why
  • 5 years ago
This assembly elections some Rajput-dominated villages in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur are campaigning for NOTA, shutting out politicians over what they believe is the collective failure of the political class to look after them and instead favour Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
The villagers have barred politicians from campaigning in their villages and put up posters encouraging residents to press the button for NOTA, or None Of The Above. They say politicians have favoured the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and failed to look after their interests.
