May warns EU will not offer "better Brexit deal" if agreement rejected by UK parliament
  • 5 years ago
British Prime Minister Theresa May has warned the British people they should NOT expect a "better deal" from the European Union if lawmakers reject her Brexit agreement.
Speaking on a BBC phone-in show Friday,... she said a parliamentary vote against the agreement in December will only result in more "division and uncertainty."
May heads to Brussels on Saturday for more talks with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
EU leaders will meet the next day to sign off on the withdrawal agreement and the political declaration despite some "unresolved" issues between the UK and Spain over Gibraltar.
