Kim, who is currently the acting president of Interpol,... was named to the interim role in October,... when the then-President Meng Hongwei resigned after being investigated for bribery and other violations by China.
The support comes as U.S. lawmakers have been lobbying the Trump administration to oppose Russian candidate Alexander Prokopchuk,... amid accusations Russia has been abusing Interpol.
The president will be chosen on Wednesday at an an annual conference in Dubai.
