The government plans to create 100 thousand jobs by 2020 in social enterprises, firms that pursue social values such as protecting the environment or improving disabled welfare.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor seeks to achieve this goal through promoting products made by such firms and lowering barriers for companies to register as social enterprises.
The ministry will establish an online shopping mall for social enterprises with the aim of getting 60 percent of the population to use products from social enterprises by 2020.
It will also lower the number of employees required for companies to register as a social enterprise.
