S. Korean gov't will do its part to eliminate racial discrimination: Report

South Korea's human rights watchdog has submitted a biannual report to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination,... promising to closely monitor the issue in the country.
In its report to the committee,... submitted today,... the National Human Rights commission said the government needs to work to stop discrimination against the Yemeni refugees who recently arrived on Jeju-do Island.
The agency also pledged to do its part to promote inter-cultural understanding.
The UN committee will review the report during its meeting held from November 26th until December 14th.
