Delhi's air quality worsens is triggering health crisis in national capital

Authorities have warned of 'severe' air quality deterioration from Monday in the national capital as Diwali festivities kick off and stubble burning adds to the problem. The overall air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 336 which Falls in the very poor category according to data from the CPCB. The pm 2.5 level is expected to increase sharply from Monday owing to change in wind direction and continued stubble burning. Meanwhile, several measures have been taken to stem the deterioration. THE SC even banned the sale of firecrackers, recommending the use of green crackers instead.
