Delhi has been battling air pollution like never before. NASA captured this and the data shows that crop burning was really intense. Schools have been shut till Sunday and the government has decided to implement the odd-even scheme from next week. Crop burning in the neighbouring states is said to be the main culprit. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has requested the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana to put an end to crop burning. Agriculture stubble running into millions of tonnes is burnt by farmer in north India every October. An estimated 35 million tonnes are burnt to make room for the winter crop. This practise continues despite the NGT imposing a ban on the same. The people in Delhi have been complaining about breathing problems.
