As air quality worsens in Delhi-NCR, Punjab farmers continue stubble burning. A farmer said that they don’t burn the entire stubble like they used to earlier. He said, "Now we burn only the top 5-10% which doesn’t cause too much pollution, which also we have to do because we have no other option. If the government gives us subsidy, then something can be done. Without stubble burning, our fields can’t get ready (for the next crop)”. Delhi’s air quality has remained severe over several areas.
