People of Delhi are suffocating, choking on polluted air due to the negligence of the Centre and neighboring states, Rai said, citing 21,623 stubble burning incidents recorded through NASA imagery across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh during November 1-6. Stubble burning continued in Punjab on Monday amid severe Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi. Farmers have said that they are burning the stubble out of helplessness and asked the state government to pay compensation to them to stop the burning of stubble in their fields. Watch this video.
