Pyeongyang Declaration to be ratified during Cabinet meeting without parliamentary consent

President Moon Jae-in is chairing a weekly Cabinet meeting this morning, where the Pyeongyang Declaration as well as the military agreement agreed by the leaders in September will be deliberated and ratified.
This comes as the ministry of government legislation said that unlike the Panmunjeom Declaration made in April inter-Korean Summit,… the Pyeongyang Joint Declaration and the military agreement do not need parliamentary consent,… as the agreement in September is aimed at implementing previous declarations.
The president is set to give a statement during the meeting,… and we will be sure to cover that in our later newscast.
