2018 Yeongju Punggi Ginseng Festival

The Yeongju Punggi Ginseng Festival is up and running in Yeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province.
More than five thousand people attended the opening ceremony-- a parade that honored Ju Se-bung, the person credited with first harvesting ginseng.
Visitors can learn the history of the region and experience digging and carving ginseng, and making ginseng drinks.
They can also buy fresh ginseng at much cheaper prices than normal during the ginseng auctions.
The festival runs until October 28th.
