On day one of the parliamentary inspection, President Moon Jae-in held a meeting with his top aides, calling for his administration's sincere participation, as if they are directly answering the people.

We must embrace sound points and reasonable alternatives and reflect them in our policies. At the same time, we should make sure to clarify facts and the government's position on any false points or misunderstandings.

However, he criticized the National Assembly for failing to do their constitutional duties,... by not adopting confirmation hearing reports on the three Constitutional Court justice nominees, and putting the process of ratifying the Panmunjom Declaration on hold.
President Moon urged the National Assembly to support and join the government's efforts to make a new history of peace on the Korean Peninsula, which he said is what the South Korean people desire.
