Who is Brett Kavanaugh? – Trump's SCOTUS Nominee

Brett Kavanaugh is a United States Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals, former staff secretary under George W. Bush, and President Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court of the United States.
Kavanaugh was born in 1965. He attended high school in the suburbs of Maryland which is where he met the now 51-year-old research psychologist and professor Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Dr. Ford spoke to The Washington Post where she accused Kavanaugh and his friend of “stumbling drunk” into a bedroom at a house party in Montgomery County in the early ‘80s. Dr. Ford said Kavanaugh’s buddy watched as Kavanaugh pinned her down to a bed and groped her while trying to pull off her one-piece bathing suit. When she screamed, he allegedly put his hand over her mouth. “I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” Dr. Ford told The Washington Post. She was able to escape after a classmate jumped on top of them, knocking them over.
The judge then went on to Georgetown Prep School where the drinking and alleged predatory behavior seemingly continued. In his Georgetown Prep yearbook, Kavanaugh boasted about taking down kegs in the triple digits. He wrote “100 Kegs or bust,” on his yearbook profile. But more importantly he boasted about having sexual relations with a woman at a nearby Catholic school named Renate Schroeder. When Kavanaugh was a freshman at Yale, his drinking habits continued and so did accusations of his alleged predatory behavior. As The New Yorker reported, Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale with Kavanaugh, accused the potential Supreme Court Justice of exposing himself to her at a drunken dorm party.
It’s also worthy to note why Trump - who is under FBI investigation - nominated Kavanaugh, who has argued that a sitting president should be protected from a criminal investigation.
