Incheon Int'l Airport planning to use iris-scanners for boarding flights
  • 6 years ago
Korea's main gateway, Incheon International Airport, is working to do away with passports for boarding... and use eye scanners instead.
The system could be ready for international flights as soon as 2020.
Incheon International Airport Corporation says it's using an iris-scanning system for employees at its headquarters on a test basis.
It also has a system that can verify a passenger's fingerprints without the need to touch anything.
An official with the airport said they're working with the relevant authorities, such as the immigration agency, on how to move ahead.
