Wrap-up of 21st Inter-Korean Family Reunions

Well, can we expect some positive developments going forward.
I mean,... relations between Seoul and Pyongyang have thawed a lot this year... and we may be able to expect these reunions to take place more often?

Yeah, South Korean authorities are very eager to make that happen.
Throughout last week's reunions, the head of South Korea's Red Cross Park Kyung-seo was at Mount Kumgang with the families... and he met with his North Korea counterpart Pak Yong-il -- the head of North Korea's Red Cross.
They agreed to work to hold one more reunion within this year, possibly at the end of October,.. before it gets too cold.
The specifics would have to be ironed out through working-level talks,... but at least we know South and North Korea now see eye-to-eye on the need for these family reunions and their importance as a humanitarian issue.
