Korean athletes grabbed one more medal today,... but this one, all the more special... as it was the first time EVER... for a unified Korean team to stand on the podium at an international multi-sports event.
The joint women's canoeing team,... comprised of seven South Koreans and five North Koreans,... won a historic bronze in the 200 meter dragon boat racing event.
China claimed the gold and the host nation Indonesia grabbed the silver.
Regarding the medal standings, the bronze medal won't be counted for either South or North Korea,... rather it's considered a separate medal for "Korea."
