South Korea's corporate watchdog unveiled a set of measures to root out corruption among its staff.
The Fair Trade Commission plans to ban private contacts between its employees and retirees seeking employment at corporations related to their former duties.
The watchdog will post the job status of its staff on its website for ten years after they retire... if they're hired by private companies and their affiliates with annual sales of nearly 9-million U.S. dollars.
Also, it vowed to prohibit employees from giving paid lectures in front of personnel from private companies and law firms... and will set up an anonymous page on its website for whistleblowers.
This comes as prosecutors indicted 12 former and current senior officials of the corporate watchdog last week, for allegedly forcing companies to hire them after their retirement.
