Two South Korean footballers start season in style
  • 6 years ago
A couple of overseas-based South Korean footballers have started their respective seasons in the best way possible,... by finding the back of the net.
Twenty-six-year-old midfielder Lee Jae-sung scored his first club goal on Sunday in Germany's second-tier league.
Lee joined Holstein Kiel from K League side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in July.
During his time at Jeonbuk, Lee helped them to three domestic titles in four seasons.
South Korean super rookie, 17-year-old Lee Kang-in, who plays for Spanish side Valencia CF, scored his first senior goal on Sunday in a friendly match against German side Bayer Leverkusen
Lee's excellent pre-season form has raised hopes he can play himself into Valencia's first team when the La Liga season starts this weekend.
