Hot and humid weather to continue for week ahead _ 081318

Good morning, skies seem to be telling us we are closer to autumn, but sweltering temperatures doesn't want to leave us just yet. In fact, the 14th typhoon of the season Yagi, hoping it will give us some relief from the heat headed to China, and it only brought hot moist air to the nation.

Heatwave alerts have been re-issued to regions in the east with temperatures expected to rise to near mid thirties... Daegu will also notice warmer temperatures. Seoul will just be as hot.

For a closer look, Seoul, Busan and Jeju are waking up to a low of 27 degrees Celsius. Parts of upper regions could see passing showers during the day.

Most parts will see highs rising to the mid-thirties, Seoul, Daejeon, Gyeongju getting up to blistering 35 degrees this afternoon.

This Thursday marks Malbok which is officially the last day of the hottest period of summer, but the searing heat will be with us for another week or so. National Liberation Day this Wednesday will be also hot and sunny.
