But the showers are not going to cut back the readings on the mercury tomorrow. On the contrary, it will be 3 to 6 degrees higher than the seasonal average, topped with high humidity levels. Over in the neighboring countries, Beijing and Tokyo will stay cooler with rain.

The nation starts again with uncomfortable readings, Seoul at 28 degrees Celsius, Daegu and Gyeongju at 25 degrees.

By the afternoon, Seoul is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius. Gwangju at 36 and somewhat cooler in Busan, hitting 32 degrees.
