A joint investigation team tasked with probing the possible invocation of martial law last year... have raided the homes of the then-defense minister and the ex-Defense Security Command commander.
An official said on Sunday that the search warrants for the homes of former defense minister Han Min-koo and former DSC commander Cho Hyun-chun were issued on Friday.
The official added that they are examining the information gleaned from the searches and plan to summon the two for further questioning.
The Defense Security Command has been under fire for drafting contingency plans for martial law in the event the Constitutional Court had not upheld the impeachment of ex-President Park Geun-hye in 2017.
