A record number of people have died from heat-related illnesses so far this summer as the sweltering heat continues to grip Korea.
As of Monday, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had recorded 28 deaths.
More than 2-thousand-200 people have been treated for conditions such as heatstroke, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion.
That's more than twice the figure for the same period last year.
The KCDC has advised people to refrain from going outdoors during the day and to pay close attention to the body's warning signs.
