Picking up where we last left off with Ken Diamond, where we learned of his early beginnings as a furniture upholsterer, we are joined once more in his Vancouver studio to go over the steps in making one of his most popular pieces of footwear — the Koko Moccasin. Choosing to keep the PROCESS as minimal as possible, Ken opts in doing most of the steps by hand with the exception of his swing arm clicker press and an ingenious little device called the “third hand.” With his fondness for leather showing throughout all his products, each handmade good bares the eponymous Ken Diamond brand name as a guarantee of quality and to reflect the pride that goes into each and every single item. Watch the video above for a better look at how the Ken Diamond brand takes Horween leather and transforms it into a pair of traditional footwear.
