Carr Fire jumps Sacramento River as residents evacuate

The Carr Fire jumped the Sacramento River as residents in Redding, California, evacuated on July 26.

In the video, a filmer captured footage of the Carr Fire on July 26 as it threatened downtown Redding.

The Carr Fire “raged through several Northern California communities, killing two firefighters and destroying dozens of homes after thousands of terrified residents fled in miles-long traffic jams,” The Associated Press reported on July 27.

Cal Fire said the fire has grown to 44,450 acres, according to Wildfire Today.
