S. Korean gov't ranked top in civic engagement through ICT: UN survey

South Korea has been ranked number one in the world... along with Denmark and Finland... in a survey by the United Nations measuring "e-participation,"... a term that indicates a government's civic engagement through Information and Communications Technology.
This is quite an advancement for Korea, which was in fourth place among 193 UN member states when the biennal survey was last released in 2016.
Korea's Interior Ministry attributes it to major improvements to the presidential office website for public petitions... as well as greater online participation by the Moon Jae-in administration compared to its predecessors when making policy.
