Seoul to resolve impact of EU safeguard measures on imported steel

And South Korea is drawing up countermeasures to the temporary EU safeguard measures on imported steel... in a bid to minimize the negative impact on Korean exporters.
Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, who's currently in London on an official trip,... emphasized strategic partnership and communication in a meeting with the heads of the diplomatic mission in Europe.... to effectively deal with rising trade protectionism.
Seoul's trade ministry also says.... it held a meeting on Thursday.... with 14 local steel companies, including the country's largest steelmaker POSCO... to assess the impact of the EU measures.... and to find ways to deal with the situation.
