EU to launch safeguards to counter U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum

The EU announced a set of provisional safeguard measures to protect the European market... in response to Washington's duties on steel and aluminum.
The Commission will impose quotas on 23 steel products,... and tariffs of 25 percent on volumes exceeding those amounts.
The measures are effective starting this Thursday.
According to Seoul foreign ministry, South Korea has told the EU numerous times that the measures are unjust... and asked to be exempted from them.
The ministry added it will continue to reiterate Korea's position through various channels.
