Korea is bracing for a season of tropical nights as the entire country is under either a heatwave warning or advisory.
The mid-day temperature for the capital city of Seoul today reached 33 degrees Celsius... while in the southeastern city of Gyeongju and Yeongcheo it got up to 37 degrees.
Heat wave advisories are issued when the mercury level is forecast to stay above 33 degrees for at least two days in a row, and warnings go out when it's staying above 35.
