문 대통령 "판문점 선언과 센토사 합의 지구상 마지막 냉전 해체한 합의로 기록될 수 있게"

On Day 3 of his state visit to the island nation, President Moon Jae-in... outlined his vision and policy for peace and prosperity.
Something that should follow the inter Korean summits and the historic meeting between leaders of Pyongyang and Washington.
Our chief Cheongwadae correspondent Moon Connyoung starts us off with his message during a special lecture held earlier today. In a city state which just a month earlier saw the leaders of North Korea and the U.S. come together for a historic summit, South Korean President Moon Jae-in laid out his vision and policy for lasting peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula; one as daring the one he presented in Berlin a year ago.

"Building on complete denuclearization and peace on the Korean Peninsula, South Korea will draw up a new economic map.
Both Koreas will press on toward an economic community."

A single economic community of the two Koreas... creating partnership for the future with Southeast Asian countries for 'People, Co-prosperity and Peace.'

This is President Moon Jae-in's 'New Southern Policy," a vision that he shared at the 42nd Singapore Lecture hosted by the Yusof Ishak Institute of Southeast Asian Studies.

"The U.S. and South Korea have worked together in the historic transition that began with the North's participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, reciprocal visits by special envoys, inter-Korean summits and the North Korea-U.S. summit.

We will continue to work together going forward."

The South Korean president also made sure to send out a message to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un; a message of prosperity but with a premise, but,

"If Chairman Kim keeps his promise of denuclearization, he will be able to lead his nation to prosperity."

He vowed to do his utmost to establish a peace regime so that economic cooperation with the North could begin.

"If the leaders do not honor the promise they made themselves before the international community, they will be subject to grave judgment."

"This time of the year last year, President Moon stood in Berlin and spoke of peace. Peace and dialogue with North Korean leader when not many thought of it as a possibility. One year later, here in one of the world's most vibrant market economies the President speaks of a new economic map on the Korean Peninsula; one that links the two Koreas. Where this will take us a year from now remains to be seen.
