Fmr. U.S. Admiral Harry Harris sworn in as ambassador to S. Korea

The United States finally has an ambassador to South Korea -- retired Admiral Harry Harris.
Harris was sworn in on Saturday, filling a post that had been vacant for 18 months, since President Trump took office.
Until his retirement in May, Harris was the commander of U.S. forces in the Pacific.
He's expected to start his new job in Seoul in the next couple of weeks... at a time of potentially major changes on the Korean Peninsula.
As President Trump's pick, Harris is widely viewed as a hawk, but he said in his confirmation hearing this past Thursday that he agrees with the decision by the U.S. and South Korea to suspend their joint military drills while they negotiate with North Korea.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said there's "a lot of work ahead" for Ambassador Harris... in maintaining the South Korea-U.S. alliance and denuclearizing the North.
