U.S. Ambassador to South Korea, Harry Harris, has become an honorary citizen of South Korea's capital city.
The City of Seoul announced that Ambassador Harris has been awarded honorary citizenship for his contributions to bridging the gap between Seoul and cities in the U.S.
Seoul currently has five sister cities in the U.S., namely Honolulu, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and Houston.
The city government has been awarding honorary citizenship to non-Koreans who have shown dedication to the capital since 1958.
