Korea's cosmetics exports hit record high in 2017

Korean cosmetics are garnering greater global popularity these days.
According to the Korea Customs Service,… last year, shipments of cosmetics came to more than 3-point-9 billion U.S. dollars, the highest since related figures were first made public in the year 2000.
Customs officials anticipate another record breaking year.
Already, through May, the nation shipped more than 2-billion dollars' worth of beauty products, up more than 36-percent on-year.
China was the largest buyer,... accounting for almost 40-percent of the total.
The trend seem set to continue with interest in K-pop and other cultural elements showing no signs of slowing down.
