Expect a very hot Thursday today under sunny skies across most parts of the country.
We are already into the 4th summer solar term of the year, it's the summer solstice today-- the day with the longest period of daylight.
While the sun is up in the sky, strong UV rays will shine down on us so wear plenty of sunscreen and drink water frequently.
Temperatures will rise higher than yesterday, Seoul and even Busan will have highs getting up to 29 degrees Celsius. Daegu and Gyeongju will be in the grip of blistering heat, topping out at 32 degrees.
The heat will get stronger for most areas until next Monday when monsoon rain will reach the central regions bringing some relief from the heat, so until then take good care of your health
