Good afternoon. Most parts of South Korea can expect bright skies and warm afternoon temperatures.

There will be really nothing but sunshine along with very high UV rays,... so wear sunglasses and sunblock to protect your eyes and skin. It seems like we need face masks for protection from the sun and the dust.

... yellow dust will keep blowing in and smog from China will only cause dustier conditions.... you need to cover up with a face mask as well.

A somewhat breezy morning is turning warm rapidly... Gyeongju will get up to 31 degrees Celsius. It'll hit 30 degrees in Daegu, while highs in Seoul will rise to 24 degrees.

Bright skies and big fluctuations in the temperature readings will continue with no rain in the forecast.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

South Korea will have mostly sunny skies but a dusty Thursday...while North Korea will also have sunny skies and warm highs, including at Punggye-ri, the nuclear test site in the northeast of the country.

There's scattered clouds with the possibility of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon in Manila...

New Zealand had a bitterly cold morning ... but Wellington will get to 15 degrees with showers later today.

After a wet and chilly start to the week in the Chicago area, summer weather will stay until Sunday.

As for South America, wet weather will continue in Bogota for another week or so. Keep an umbrella handy.

Taking you to Europe,... Paris will have unstable weather but sunshine is in store for the weekend.

Lastly to Africa, Cape Town issues flood alerts on Thursday as heavy rain and cold weather passes over the Western Cape.

That's the weather update for now.
