Ex-President Lee to appear at court as corruption trial begins

A Seoul court will hold its first hearing this afternoon for former President Lee Myung-bak ,... who faces a slew of bribery and other corruption-related charges.
According to court officials, Lee will appear at the Seoul Central District Court at 2PM, Korea time.
The ex-president was indicted on charges involving bribery, abuse of power and embezzlement.
According to his lawyers,... Lee, who rejects the prosecution probe, will announce his opinion during the hearing.
He stands accused of taking bribes totaling over ten million U.S. dollars.
Lee is South Korea's fourth former president to be arrested and put on trial for corruption.
