Former president Lee Myung-bak will NOT appear in court today for his second trial hearing over corruption charges,... citing poor health.
After attending the first hearing last week,... the ex-leader said he would not be attending any more hearings... other than those that absolutely "require his presence."
His attorneys have submitted a formal request for a trial in absentia.
Lee was detained in March on a dozen corruption charges, including bribery and embezzlement.
The ex-president denies all the charges.
