S. Korea's Blue House welcomes news of June 12 N. Korea, U.S. Singapore Summit

South Korea's presidential Blue House has welcomed the announcement that the historic North Korea, U.S. summit talks will take place on the 12th of June in Singapore made by U.S. President Donald Trump late Thursday night, Seoul time.
In a text message sent out to the Blue House press corps, the Blue House Spokesperson Kim Eui-kyeom said Seoul's top office hopes the Kim, Trump meeting will bring denuclearization and lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in is set to meet with his U.S. counterpart in Washington on May 22nd to coordinate the allies' positions after the 2018 inter-Korean summit in Panmunjom and ahead of the North Korea, U.S. summit in Singapore.
