Moon urges parliament to review US$3.6 bil. supplementary budget ahead of one year anniv. in office

President Moon Jae-in had a special message for government officials and politicians as his administration nears the first full year.
The liberal leader began the weekly Cabinet meeting by complimenting the members for a year well done... and encouraging them to keep up the good work.
President Moon then went on to urge parliament to swiftly review the government's supplementary budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly over a month ago.
"Time is of the essence for budget supplements. That's because we can achieve the goal of the supplementary budget only when we implement it on time."
He explained that the 3-point-6 billion U.S. dollars will be used to realize the minimum number of government projects... that are critical to creating new jobs for the youth... and to help sectors suffering from prolonged slumps such as shipbuilding and automobiles.
