Magnitude 2.5 earthquake detected in Chungcheongbuk-do province

A two-point-five magnitude earthquake was detected in Boeun county, Chungcheongbuk-do province this afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the quake occurred at 12:34 p.m. Wednesday, …about 11 kilometers northwest of the town of Boeun.
The agency added that the minor earthquake is not likely to cause damage.
This is the third earthquake to hit Chungcheongbuk-do province …and the 54th earthquake to shake the Korean peninsula this year.
