It's been decided-- a Seoul court says it will televise the sentencing trial of former President Park Geun-hye,... the first of its kind since the top court amended rules last year to allow the live broadcast of a trial, if deemed necessary and of public interest.
The three judges in charge of the former president's corruption trial have announced that the trial, scheduled for 2-10 in the afternoon of Friday this week,... will be broadcast live.
The former leader was removed from office last year, and has been detained over a massive influence-peddling scandal.
She faces 18 charges including bribery, abuse of power and leaking government secrets.
The prosecutors have demanded 30-years jail time for the former president.
