Chinese State Councilor due in Seoul to brief officials on Beijing-Pyongyang summit

Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi is visiting Seoul today to brief South Korean officials on the outcome of the talks between Beijing and Pyongyang.
For more details, we now connect live to our Blue House correspondent Hwang Hojun, who's on the phone.
Hojun what can you tell us?

Mark, well Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of China's Communist Party... and key Chinese diplomat,... arrived in Incheon International Airport less than an hour ago, kicking off his two-day visit to South Korea.
He is visiting as a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and is expected to meet with President Moon's National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong this afternoon.
The two will also have dinner together.
The Chinese special envoy will also meet President Moon Jae-in on Friday.
Along with the details of the recent bilateral talks between Chinese President Xi and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Yang will also discuss the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and various other issues.
The Blue House said China sending Yang to Seoul is similar to when President Moon's two envoys to Pyongyang and Washington briefed China about their trip earlier this month, ultimately kicking off the preparations for the much anticipated inter-Korean and Washington-Pyongyang bilateral summits.
Back to you, Mark.
