Powerful eruptions from a volcano on Japan's southern island of Kyushu continued on Wednesday, …spewing ash three thousand meters into the air and grounding more than 80 flights.
Japan's weather agency has maintained an alert level that restricts access to the volcano, which produced its first explosive eruption in seven years on Tuesday.
In an eruption early Wednesday, a large volcanic rock flew about one kilometer from the crater.
No injuries or building damage have been reported.
